The purpose of this event is to promote a love of literature in a positive nurturing environment and contribute to a foundation for lifelong learning. After reading the book, "The Light We Carry," by Michelle Obama, sorors are asked to share insightful nuggets of wisdom from individual perspectives. In doing so, sorors will build community and experience fellowship that will ultimately contribute to each other's literary and personal growth.
